The Noble County Economic Development Corporation (NCEDC) began operations in February 2006. Since that time, we've been working hard to build solid relationships with the many businesses and industries located here. 

• We visited with representatives of approximately 150 businesses and industries within our first year.
• We've assisted industries with their expansion projects, tax abatement applications, and securing of training grants. 
• In 2007, we organized a group to explore the possibility of bringing a CDL Training facility to Noble County.  That facility opened in February 2008, 78 people successfully completed the program in the first year.
• We're also committed to attracting new business to Noble County and providin ever-expanding services to the businesses and industries that have already chosen to locate here.

Economic growth is important to us - in a way that goes well beyond just tallying how many  jobs might be created.  We offer various services to startup entrepreneurs as well as large industries looking to grow in Noble County.

• Noble County was 10th in new jobs created per capita since 2005 and 3rd in the total number of deals per capita. 
• Indiana Lt. Gov. Becky Skillman recognized Noble County as the Number One county per capita in job creation in 2008.
• In December '08, NCEDC Executive Director Rick Sherck was named an Honorary Secretary of Commerce for the State of Indiana by Nate Feltman, Indiana Secretary of Commerce.
